  • Prolamina was the recipient of the Sustainable Packaging bronze award for the Package Converter-Process/Facility Category. This recognition stems from dedicated and continuing efforts put forth by Prolamina Montreal, such as:
    • The implementation of solventless lamination.
    • A “clean-in-place” auto-wash system that is linked to a closed loop solvent recovery system.
    • The current implementation of the newly introduced PAC HACCP program, and also introducing the AIB standard for our facility.
    • Major reductions in solvent consumption through our solvent recovery distillation system.
    • Smart material utilization from right-sizing and down-gauging packaging through our narrow seal pouches, while still providing optimal performance.
    • Substrates evaluation to reduce the overall thickness and offering different technology to obtain better barrier properties without increase the overall thickness.
